Hello
My name is Daisy Pearce and I am a student journalist at Bournemouth University. I am in my final year of studies and this website is for my multimedia project.
My Story
I began this project after being inspired by an interview I did with Nicky Crowe of Dorset Dogs community interest company. She told me about the pet food banks they had set up across Dorset and Hampshire, and how they started these after seeing lots of posts of people trying to rehome their pets, during the cost-of-living-crisis. I wanted to find out how much the crisis was impacting pet owners, and what other charities had done to help.
