How much the U.K. loves pets

According to the RSPCA's Kindness Index report, almost 7 in 10 adults would describe themselves as an animal lover.

Nicky Crowe, of Dorset Dogs community interest company, shared a poll asking people on its Facebook group: Dog Friendly Dorset, what pets are to them. 1,100 voters said their dog is part of the family.

These stats show how important pets are to people around the U.K., and how issues that impact pets and their owners are also important.
