Interview with Bournemouth pet owner, Majd Balaui, and his cat Aswad

I met Majd and his black kitten, Aswad, at Boscombe Beach. He tells me he also has a boy cat called Figaro, and he got them both through coworkers. The male cat was a result of an older lady giving him up. Majd explains that she was "probably self-neglecting, and the house wasn't very clean as she'd smoke in a small room all day." He says she felt sorry for the cat and sought someone to adopt him.

Majd feels that pet ownership is a long-term venture, and if you can't look after them, it might be better for the pet to be given up.
